Get Out Weekend Planner

Renaissance Faires, apple festivals, and a car wash for the weekend.

Another week has blown right on by and the weekend awaits. The Get Out Weekend Planner has gathered five of our favorite local events from our Calendars to help you make the most of it. Grab the family, a friend, or even a hot date and get out there.

APPLE FESTIVAL

Where/When: Shadybrook Farm, Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Why Go: Moonbounces, crafters, face painting, and of course, pick your own apples. 

Pricing: Apples are $1 a pound. Caramel apples and other treats for sale. 

 

Where/When:, Sunday at 1 p.m.

Why Go: Stroll the September kissed vineyards, taste some wines, and take home a complimentary glass. 

Pricing: $35.

 

RENAISSANCE FAIRE

Where/When: Grange Fairgrounds (576 Penns Park Road), Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Why Go: It’s sort of self explanatory right? Costumes, food, jousting, and other such fun. More details for the weekend here.

Pricing: $5. Children under 8 admitted free. 

 

FIRE MAKING 

Where/When: , Sunday from 1 p.m./

Why Go: Take a tour of the Lenape Village and learn how they made their fires. 

Pricing: $5. Children under 4 admitted free.  

 

GOODNOE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CAR WASH 

Where/When: , Saturday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Why Go: The 6th grade class needs some cash for their activities fund. Your car needs a wash. It’s a win - win situation. 

Pricing: $5 a car.
