Local girl scouts Dona Lisciotto and Emma Lambert-Waldmann have spent the past few months making dresses for impoverished or orphaned girls in South Africa.
Starting Monday, their hard work will be displayed at the for all to see.
Members of the community have helped the two girls on their mission, which is expected to earn them Silver Award from the Girl Scouts.
The girls began their project by collecting pillow cases, fabric remnants and button down shirts. With the help of 80 generous people, the girls turned the fabric into 50 dresses for less fortunate girls.
The girls will be holding a meet and greet Monday night from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the bookstore. The dresses will remain on display through July 27.
