Welcome Day is Sunday

The annual street fair is held on Sycamore Street in Newtown Township.

 

Newtown’s annual street fair will be held this Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sycamore Street.

Welcome Day, which is held each year in May, features a variety of family-friendly activities, including games, food and entertainment. Area businesses set up booths along Sycamore Street and distribute information and giveaways.

There’s also plenty for the kids to do, including games, prizes, dance demonstrations, live music and more.

The annual will be held outdoors at Bill Marsh Ford. The singing competition will feature both adults and students, who will perform for a $250 prize.

Thousands of people are expected to attend the free event, which is sponsored by the Newtown Business Association.
