Auditions for 'Twelfth Night' Begin Saturday

Newtown Arts Company will hold auditions for its upcoming production Saturday and Monday Crossing Community Church.

Newtown Arts Company will hold auditions for its upcoming production of William Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night” this Saturday and Monday at Crossing Community Church.

Auditions Saturday will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday's auditions will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Crossing Community Church is located at 80 Lower Silver Lake Rd.

Callbacks will be held Nov. 2 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“Director Joe McKernan is casting 12 to 18 named roles and a small troupe of entertainers age  16 and over. Skills such as playing an instrument, singing, dancing, comedy, storytelling, juggling and clowning a plus,” according to an announcement on Newtown Patch.

Auditions will consist of a prepared reading from the script or a Shakespeare monologue of your choice. 

Performances are Feb.13 to 19 at Newtown Theatre, 120 N. State Street.
