Free Celtic Concert Tuesday at BCCC

The concert begins 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 16 and is open to the public.

The Celtic band RUNA will perform a free concert Tuesday at Bucks County Community College's Newtown Campus. The concert begins 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 16 and is open to the public.

The college provided this description of the band: "This vocal and instrumental ensemble presents a repertoire of both highly energetic and graceful acoustic melodies. Their fusion of music from Ireland, Scotland, Canada and the U.S. gives its arrangements of traditional songs and tunes a fresh sound."

Gene Shay, co-founder of the Philadelphia Folk Festival and producer and host of The Folk Show on WXPN radio, calls the band “brilliant."
