George School Students Organize Art for Relief

George School's sixth annual Art for Relief was held on Saturday.

George School’s sixth annual Art for Relief was held on Saturday and benefited the Philly Youth Poetry Movement. The evening featured an art show and silent auction in the George School Meetinghouse and performances in Walton Center Auditorium.

Art for Relief is a student-organized night of visual and performing arts that brings together students, faculty and local community members to raise money for a cause.

This year’s beneficiary, the Philly Youth Poetry Movement (PYPM), is an arts-related group that provides a safe space for Philadelphia’s at-risk youth ages 13 to 19. It helps them to use their voices to promote social change, leadership, and cultural diversity while building self-esteem, explained Juliana Rosati, George School’s Public Relations and Special Events Director.
