ICE CREAM SOCIAL
What: Newtown Relay for Life Team “Purple Lightning” is hosting an ice cream social at Sweet Pea in Newtown. Between 5 and 8 p.m., a percentage of sales will go to the Relay for Life.

ALL-AMERICAN FISHING DERBY

What: The annual All-American Fishing Derby for kids 16 and younger
When/where: Saturday at 8:30 a.m. at Tyler State Park.

STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL
What: Newtown Presbyterian Church's annual Strawberry Festival will feature fresh strawberries, plus an array of tasty treats, including strawberry shortcake, baked goods, hot dogs and more.
When/where: Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. at the Historic Church on Sycamore Street in Newtown.

FIRST SATURDAY
What: Newtown Borough stores and restaurants will be hosting sidewalk sales, giving out freebies and offering specials during this weekend's First Saturday event
When/where: Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on State Street in Newtown Borough
Cost: Free. During this month's event, kids can enjoy a superhero story time, adults can get a free Beatles tote bag and everyone can grab some fresh popcorn at the Newtown Hardware House
RED TULIP GALLERY OPENING
What: Countryside Frames in Newtown is hosting the grand opening of the Red Tulip Gallery Artists' Cooperative of the Bucks County Guild of Craftsmen
When/where: Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 2 South State Street, Newtown.

CINDERELLA
What: Doylestown-based Dance Theatre of Pennsylvania is performing Cinderella
When/where: Saturday at Central Bucks South High School, 1100 Folly Road, Warrington. There will be two performances; at 4 and 7:30 p.m.
