Newtown Arts Company will bring the Peanuts characters to life in its upcoming production of “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.” The musical opens this Thursday at the historic Newtown Theatre and will be performed through Dec. 5.
“You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” brings together Newtown Arts Company veterans Mary Liz Ivins as director and Susan den Outer as music director. The performance is produced by Nancy Pickering and is presented by special arrangement with Tams-Witmark Music Library, Inc.
The cast features Joe Carlucci of Philadelphia (Charlie Brown), Amelia Arrigo of Yardley (Lucy), Christina Durst of Philadelphia (Snoopy), Chad McCutcheon of Newtown (Linus), Sarah Cohn of Newtown (Sally), and Bobby Reiser of Langhorne (Schroeder).
Rounding out the cast are Olivia Peterson of Newtown (Peppermint Patty), Abby Riley of Newtown (Frieda), Eric Raymond of Newtown (Shermy) and Wren Workman of Morrisville (Pigpen).
“You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” features musical classics such as “Happiness,” “Suppertime” and “My Blanket and Me.”
Performances of “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” are offered for one week only. The schedule is as follows: Thursday, Nov. 29 at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, Nov. 30 at 8 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 1 at 8 p.m.; Sunday matinee, Dec. 2 at 3 p.m.; Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m. and Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets for reserved front orchestra and front row balcony seats are $23; reserved rear orchestra and rear balcony seats are $20. Special extended legroom seating is available in Row I for an additional accommodation fee.
