Newtown Library Co. to Host Ice Cream Social for Local Author Event
The event, to be held this Tuesday June 10, is free for library members and $10 a family for nonmembers.
The Newtown Library Company will host an ice cream social Tuesday as local artist Jennifer Hansen Rolli visits to read and sign her new book, “Just One More.”
The reading begins at 6:30 p.m. Children are encouraged to come in their pajamas and bring a favorite blanket or stuffed animal to enjoy the evening story time.
According to information from the library, Rolli began painting as a child and was inspired by many country outings with her father. She later became a nationally noted graphic designer and illustrator.

“I’ve always wanted to make children’s books, and have found it is the culmination of everything I have done in the art world,” Rolli said. “Plus, being a mom and a kid once myself” also inspired this project, she added.
