During its transition to digital, the theatre’s board of directors hired a new manager, Alison Silverman, who comes to Newtown with more than 30 years of movie theater experience. The board also refreshed the theatre lobby with new paint, flooring and carpet and made many other much needed repairs and upgrades.

Over the past two years, Newtown Theatre has raised more than $100,000 from the community for the upgrades.
