Rugby Invitational Raises 1K for the Newtown Theatre
The Mayor's Invitational XV rugby match was held Saturday at George School. It raised money for the Newtown Theatre's digital projector fund.
About 500 people turned out for the Mayor's Invitational XV rugby match Saturday at George School.
The event was a fundraiser for the Newtown Theatre. The theatre is currently working to raise $100,000 for a new digital projector system.
According to organizers, more than $1,000 was raised for the theatre during the rugby event, which featured a social The Clubhouse Bar and Grill after the match.
