Show Off Your Vocals at Newtown's Rising Star Competition
The fourth annual Rising Star singing competition will be held May 4, in conjunction with Welcome Day.

The fourth annual Rising Star singing competition will be held May 4, in conjunction with Welcome Day. The competition will feature vocalists in student and adult categories competing to win a $150.00 cash prize, courtesy of Bill Marsh Ford.
Chuck Schaeffer will host the competition, which begins with the adult contestants at 12:30 at Bill Marsh Ford on North Sycamore St. The student singers will follow immediately afterwards.

Both winners will also earn a full scholarship to www.BroadwayBreakThru.com’s “Summer Intensive” performing arts camp at George School, featuring celebrity headliner Drew Van Acker of ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars.
Welcome Day features local businesses, artists, crafters, entertainment, food and interactive games for kids of all ages. It is held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 4 rain or shine.
