Tickets Still Available for Uncorked Event Saturday

The event will feature wine tastings, food from local restaurants, and live entertainment. It will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Newtown Swim Club.

Tickets are still available for the second annual Newtown Uncorked event, which will be held this Saturday, May 21, at the Newtown Swim Club.

The event, sponsored by the Newtown Corporation, will feature wine tastings from Bucks County and regional vineyards, food from local restaurants, and live entertainment. It will be held from 2 to 6 p.m.

The day will feature more than 60 wines from Bucks County and beyond. Participating local wineries include Rose Bank, Crossing Vineyards, Peace Valley, Sand Castle, and Chaddsford. There will also be wines to taste from all over, including selections from California, Chile, Italy, Argentina, and beyond.

The $40 admission fee covers the food and wine tasting. For the designated drivers, a $10 ticket includes food tastings and nonalcoholic beverages. Tickets can be purchased at www.allaboutnewtown.org.

To compliment the food and wine tasting, there will also be live jazz music.

Tickets will be available for purchase at the door if they don’t sell out ahead of time online. Attendance will be limited to 1,000, organizers said. Everyone must be 21 or older to attend.

The money raised at the event will support the Newtown Corporation, which works to promote economic vitality and preservation in the borough and township. The Newtown Corporation is a community alliance among the Newtown Business Commons Association, Newtown Business and Professional Association, and the Newtown Historic Association.
