BIKE THE BASIN KICK OFF

What: Registration for the annual Bike the Basin event will kick off Saturday with this special event. Bike the Basin, a fundraiser for the Curing Retinal Blindness Foundation, is held annually at the Northampton Civic Center.
When/where: Saturday from 2 to 8 p.m. at Go Bananas in Richboro
Details: The event will feature face painting, balloon animals, music, games, photo booth, Bike the Basin registration and more. Go Bananas will donate 20 percent of sales all day on Saturday to Bike the Basin.
CELTIC KILT NIGHT
What: The Newtown Ancient Order of the Hiberians' third annual Celtic Kilt Night to benefit the hungry.
When/where: Saturday from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Buck Hotel, 1200 Buck Road, Feasterville. Kilts are encouraged but optional.
Details: The evening will feature music, dancing, food and a silent auction to benefit Jesus Focus Ministries Foodbank in Southampton. All are welcome; tickets are $45 in advance and $50 at the door. Visit www.celtickiltnight.com.
ACTION KARATE 5K FOR ALS
What: Action Karate's 5K run and walk will raise money for the ALS Association Greater Philadelphia Chapter, a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
When/where: Sunday at 9 a.m. at Tyler State Park beginning at the Stable Mill Trail near the Center for the Arts

RACE TO PLAY
What: Maureen M. Welch Elementary School is hosting a 5K run/walk on April 7 to raise money for a new playground at the school.
When/where: Sunday at 9 a.m. at the Northampton Municipal Park, which is behind the school.
