5 Cars for Going Green

There are a lot of factors to consider when buying a car. If fuel efficiency is at the top of your list, here's a feature you'll enjoy. We scanned cars.com for the greenest cars for sale near Newtown. Here's what we found:

1. 2009 Toyota Prius - $14,998

This is a “driftwood pearl” Prius hatchback with 71,539 miles on it. As one of the pioneers in hybrid technology, this Toyota boast 45 mpg highway 48 mpg city. It’s at Team Toyota Scion in Langhorne.

2. 2011 Nissan Altima Hybrid Base- $16,900

This hybrid is white with grey interior (no fancy paint names for the Altima). It has 61,628 miles on it and gets 33 mpg city, 33 highway. It’s available at Fairless Motors in Fairless Hills.

3. 2011 Kia Optima Hybrid EX- $23,991

 This Satin Metal sedan is a 6-speed automatic and has an existing 10-year/100,000 mile powertrain limited warranty. With 29,532 miles on it, it gets 34 mpg city, and 39 highway. It’s available at McCafferty Automotive, Langhorne.

4. 2012 Buick LaCrosse Premium 1 - $28,587

This Buick is metallic quicksilver with a titanium interior (those are colors not armour plating).  It’s a 6-speed automatic hybrid that gets 36 mpg highway and 25 city. It has 9,160 miles on it and is available at Faulkner Buick GMC in Trevose.

5. 2008 Lexus LS 600h L - $37,890

This sedan comes with a specially named paint color, “Truffle Mica,” and, of course, it a Lexus with more bells and whistles than we can list. It has 74,245 miles on it and gets 20 city and 22 highway. It’s available at Bristol Auto Mall in Levittown.
