5th Annual Business Expo to Be Held Sept. 14 at the NAC

The theme for this year's expo is Eat, Meet and Greet.

The Newtown Business and Professional Association is gearing up for its 5th Annual Business Expo.

It will be held Wednesday, Sept. 14 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Newtown Athletic Club. The theme this year is Eat, Meet and Greet, explained Amy M.B. McKenna, Vice President of the NBPA.

“It’s a really nice event,” McKenna said, adding the focus this year will be on local restaurants. Several area restaurants, including Palate, The Green Parrot, La Stalla, and Piccolo Trattoria, will be on hand to provide free samples and coupons.

“It will be a really great opportunity for networking and to sample the different foods of Newtown,” McKenna said.

McKenna said the event usually attracts about 400 people.

This year, all three of the Bucks County Commissioners will be at the expo. “They’ll be able to talk to the local business people and the attendees,” McKenna said.

Booths are available to NBPA members only. The event is free and open to the public to attend, however.

Sponsorship opportunities are available. The cost to be a “Good Neighbor” sponsor is $500.

McKenna said NBPA members who would like to exhibit can register via the website, www.newtownbpa.org. If local business people would like to become a member, they can also join online and then register for the expo at the site, too.
