The Newtown Business Association's annual Antique and Classic Auto Show will be held July 21 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registration is now open and is $15 in advance.

Are you the proud owner of a classic or antique car? Now is the time to register it for the annual Antique and Classic Auto Show, organized by the Newtown Business Association.

The show will be held July 21 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on State Street in Newtown Borough. It will feature more than 170 classic cars and trucks in all makes and models from 1900 to 1988.

To register, download this form or register online at www.NewtownBA.org. The cost to register is $15 through July 15. After that, the fee goes up to $25. Pre-registration is strongly recommended by organizers.

If you have questions, contact Scott Lavin, car show chairman, at 215-968-3806 or Bev Dimler at 215-860-8080.

The annual Newtown Business Association Antique and Classic Auto Show has been a long-running tradition since the mid 1970s.

That first year, organizers paid The Trenton Horseless Carriage Club to bring their cars to State Street on a Saturday in June and gave them each $5 for lunch. The tradition continues, minus the Horseless Carraign Club, to this day.

The event rain date is July 28.

I live in Newtown Grant and drive a big block 86 El Camino. I will do my best to be there
