The Makefield Women's Association (MWA) will host a Flapjack Fundraiser at the Applebee's Bar & Grill in Newtown, PA on Saturday, September 15th from 8am until 10am. Applebee's, owned by Newtown, PA based The Rose Group, provides the restaurant, food, beverages and marketing support while the team from MWA greets and waits on diners.

Breakfast includes flapjacks, sausage, juice and coffee for a donation of $7.00 for adults and $5.00 for children 12 and younger.  All proceeds from the breakfast will benefit the beneficiaries of the MWA which include non-profits like A Woman’s Place, Bucks County Housing Group, and the FSA Emergency Homeless Shelter.

This will be the fourth annual MWA Flapjack Fundraiser at Applebee's Newtown.  In 2009, 2010 and 2011 the event was the biggest fundraising event for the organization
outside of the Annual Yardley Harvest Day that is held in September (Harvest Day is co-sponsored with the Yardley Business Association and is being held this year on Saturday, September 22nd).

Tickets can be purchased in advance by contacting the event chair, Angela Flannery, at 215-497-1093 or from any member of MWA.  Tickets will also be available for purchase the day of the event at Applebee's, 2 West Road, Newtown, PA.
