Lombardi is the president emeritus of the SSCA and former chairman of the Sycamore Street Reconstruction Committee, which oversaw the planning, design and reconstruction of Sycamore Street. He is also a former Newtown Township Supervisor, Planning Commission member and Newtown Township Historic Architectural Review Board member.

"Without Vince’s leadership and vision for Sycamore Street, our town-center would not be what it is today," said SSCA President Shawn Ward. "He truly provided the leadership necessary to make this vision a reality and give us street of which we all are proud.”
