For Sale at the August 11 Wrightstown Farmers' Market

Lots of fresh food is in season and for sale at the Saturday, August 11 outdoor market.

 

Right now is the peak of selection for locally-grown delectables at the !

Harvest expectations this week include: Raspberries, blackberries, peaches, pears, nectarines, melons, heirloom, cherry, plum and slicing tomatoes, green beans, okra, sunflowers and bouquets, red, white and blue potatoes, various basils,  striped, purple and Italian eggplant,  fresh garlic, spring onions, scallions, cucumbers, cabbages, patty pan, zucchini, yellow squash, red and striped beets, turnips, kohlrabi, lettuces, Swiss and ruby chard, brussel sprouts, collards, kale, radishes, mushrooms, sweet corn, dill, parsley and cilantro.

At Wrightstown there will also be fresh, pasture raised chicken, eggs, goat cheeses, smoothies, yogurt, milk, pork and 100% grassfed beef-- all free of hormones and antibiotics.  We'll have prepared foods; pickles, sauces, fruit butters, apple juice, chutneys, marmalades and unique desserts; gluten free and vegan products; fair trade, organic, locally roasted coffee; nut butters; breads and baked goods; all natural dog food; raw, local honey; maple syrup; handmade soaps and jewelry.

Original tunes and folk music by Hiding From Andy, featuring Brad Berry, the CSA farm manager at Snipes Farm and Education Center will be filling the area at the market on Saturday.

The Wrightstown market is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday at the Wrightstown Township municipal parking lot, 2203 Second Street Pike (Rt. 232), Wrightstown, 18940. The market is sponsored by the Bucks County Foodshed Alliance.
