Gas Prices Drop 4 Cents a Gallon

Find the cheapest gas in Newtown.

Gas prices in the United States seem to finally be dropping as we head into the cooler months of the year. Nationwide, the average price of self-serve regular gasoline dropped 9 cents, according to AAA’s Fuel Gauge Report.

In the Bucks and Montgomery Counties, the average price of a gallon is $3.888 per gallon, which is 3.9 cents lower from a week ago, 7.5 cents lower than a month ago and 38.4 cents higher than a year ago.

While the national average price for a gallon of gasoline has begun to decline, the daily average price has been the highest on record for each calendar day for eight straight weeks. AAA expects pump prices to continue to decline, but still set daily records, approaching the end of the year.
