Gas Prices Level Out

Find the cheapest gas in Newtown.

After months of a steady decline, gas prices saw it’s first uptick last week, according to AAA’s Fuel Gauge Report.

The national average this for a gallon of gas rose 1.7 cents from last week. In Bucks and Montgomery Counties, it went up less than 1 cent, .9, to be exact, making the average price $3.472, that’s 11.4 cents lower than a month ago and 38.3 less than last year’s prices.

Since national gas prices peaked at the end of February, motorists nationwide have felt welcome relief at the pump in the form of falling prices, the report states; however, the recent broader increase in retail gas prices has been supported by higher global crude oil prices.
