Bake at Home Pizza Moves, Changes Name

Same great pizza, new location and better parking.

That's what Darlene Longosky, owner of Mom Mom's Gourmet Take N' Bake, wants you to know about her long-time Newtown Borough business.

Mom Mom's Gourmet Take N' Bake, formerly called Mom's Bake at Home Pizza, has moved down the street to a new location that offers better parking and more baking space, Longosky explained. The shop used to be located on South State Street next to the Tubby Olive.

Mom Mom's (the new name is because Longosky is no longer part of the Mom's Bake at Home franchise) is now located at 156 N State Street, next to the Newtown Chocolatier.

The pizza restaurant is located in the portion of the building where the chocolate shop used to make their confections. However, the Newtown Chocolatier has moved its production facility. A retail store remains in State Street.

Longosky said the is excited about the new location because has convenient, off-street parking and more space for her to bake. 

Mom Mom's offers a variety of gourmet, bake-at-home pies. The menu includes everything from traditional pies to corn pizza, taco pie, buffalo chicken and much more. Mom Mom's even has several crust varieties to choose from -- regular, whole wheat, multi-grain and gluten free.

But Mom Mom's offers more than just pizza.

Longosky sells homemade Stromboli, pastas, salads, sandwiches and desserts. She said her dessert pies are a customer favorite. Pie varieties include apple, walnut and caramel, as well as peach praline, cherry vanilla, lemon blueberry and pumpkin. She also sells cookie dough.

Longosky said she's glad to offer menu options for all types of diets, including gluten free. 

Mom's Bake at Home Pizza opened in Newtown 20 years ago. Longosky has owned the business for 13 years.

Mom Mom's is open seven days a week: Monday through Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 12 to 5 p.m.
