New Frozen Yogurt Shop Opening Friday on State St

Berryssimo Frozen Yogurt is opening Friday at 14 S. State St.

A new frozen yogurt shop is opening Friday on State Street.

Berryssimo Frozen Yogurt will be located 14 S. State St. next to the Zebra Striped Whale.

"We are on the final stretch these days. We are planning on opening on Friday, December 6th. Please visit our store. We will be open till midnight and welcome everybody in," the business posted Wednesday on Facebook.

According to the shop’s website, Berryssimo will have a comfortable, “lounge-like” atmosphere. “Our goal is to make it a place you come to relax, enjoy a morning, mid-afternoon or an evening healthy cup of frozen yogurt, while you chat with your friends, or do some work,” the website says.

Hank- Maybe they can develop a rocket propelled, self guided, stealth flying frozen yogurt machine!

Will y'all stop mocking this. Newtown needs a place where people can eat healthy food and talk with their friends. I actually wish the place well. It's too bad that the local snobbery is discriminatory towards some businesses but not to others. For instance, service cheese and carb laden pizza, welcome! But serve Dunkin Donuts, no thanks, we can't have unhealthy donuts in our community. Well lockheed left your community. Maybe you can buy frozen yogurt for those families.

WTF are you talking about? There's a Dunkin Donuts in Newtown, and a frozen yogurt shop and two smoothie shops within less than a mile of this location. Where do you live?
