New Senior Living Home to Celebrate Grand Opening

The Birches of Newtown is inviting the public to a grand opening ceremony this Saturday.

The Birches of Newtown, a new senior living community at Durham and Eagle roads in Newtown Township, will celebrate its grand opening this weekend. The facility will be giving the public a look into what the newest residents, some who moved in as early as March, are experiencing.

The celebration will be held Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. and is open to the public.

The 87,000-square-foot assisted living complex was constructed on 8.6 acres where abandoned houses once sat.

Construction crews broke ground on the two-story, 120-bed complex last spring.

According to management, the grand opening celebration will feature refreshments, a ribbon cutting and tours.
