Newtown Corp. Receives Grant For Promotional Videos

The Bucks County Conference and Visitors Bureau awarded the Newtown Corporation a $2,000 grant to create four informative You Tube videos about the community.

Thanks to a grant from the Bucks County Conference and Visitors Bureau, Newtown Corporation is currently working to create four informative You Tube videos about the community.

The videos, produced by Montage Show Productions, will focus on four aspects of Newtown: economic development, tourism and events, the annual Brewfest and shopping and dining, explained Paul Salvatore, the marketing chair volunteer for Newtown Corporation.  Each video will be about three minutes, Salvatore said.

The video about Brewfest has already been finished and can be viewed here.

The video on economic development will focus on the benefits of establishing a business in Newtown. It will discuss office locations in Newtown Commons, Stocking Works and other places, Salvatore said. It will touch on housing, the convenience of Newtown’s proximity to New York and Philadelphia, as well as the quality of life in town.

The video on events will showcase the several community happenings held throughout the year, including the Easter Egg Hunt, First Night, Welcome Day and more. The annual Brewfest event is the focus of another video.

The video about shopping and dining will promote the town’s stores and restaurants, Salvatore explained. He added it will emphasize that the borough is a great place to “stroll, shop and dine.” Newtown Theatre and various nightlife options will be spotlighted.

Salvatore said he expects the videos on economic development and shopping and dining to be done in December. The final video will be done in January so it can capture the annual First Night event on New Year’s Eve, he said.

Salvatore said Newtown Corporation received a $2,000 grant from the Conference and Visitors Bureau to do the videos.  “Rather than make one long video, which we had done years ago, we decided times have changed. People want two- to three-minute videos,” he said.

“These videos will be able to be used individually or as a complete marketing package, showing Newtown as a great place to invest in,” Salvatore said.  He added that Newtown Corporation has its sights set on another project. They’ve applied to the Bucks County Conference and Visitors Bureau for a grant to produce a local dining guide.
