One by One, Businesses Reopening After Sandy

Power has been restored to many local businesses, however State Street remains without power.

Many local buisnesses have reopened since loosing power from Hurricane Sandy. While State Street remains closed due to a lack of power, the following businesses are now open. (Note, this is not a comprehensive list. Please add businesses we missed in the comments section of this article.)

  • McCaffrey's (Newtown location reopened this afternoon)
  • Acme
  • The Temperance House (has a generator)
  • Green Parrot
  • Corner Bakery Cafe
  • The Saloon
  • Clubhouse Bar and Grill
  • The Sycamore Grill
  • Jake's Eatery
  • Village Market
  • Dunkin' Donuts
  • Sweet Pea

Starbucks, Pat's, Duck Sauce and State St have power. CVS on Lincoln is powered bu a generator.
