A food truck operated by Organnons Natural Market will open at Carousel Village this weekend.

The market announced that its food truck, Organnons Grub Shack, will open Saturday. The truck will be open Saturday, Sunday and Monday, which is Memorial Day. Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The truck will be open weekends year round, explained Danielle Gannon, who owns Organnons with her husband, Jim. It will serve healthy, organic options, including salads, burgers and sandwiches.

“We decided to open the truck because we have a strong desire to bring organic foods to the community. We are very passionate about being able to eat well while on the move and though our market is a great place to food shop, we felt this addition was needed,” Danielle Gannon said. “We are a young family with small children and when we are out for the day we would love to be able to take the kids out for a bite to eat and feel good about what we are eating.”

She explained that Carousel Village is a destination spot with kid's activities, ice cream and more. “What was missing, was a place to eat. We hope that on weekends we will be a place for people to bring their families and eventually we have hopes of expanding the hours."

The menu includes the following items:

Grass Fed Beef Burger
Veggie Burger
BBG Portobello Mushroom Cap Burger
Applegate's Natural Hot Dog
Classic American Grilled Cheese
California Grilled Cheese
Caprese Grilled Cheese
Pesto Chicken Mozzarella Grilled Cheese
Asian Ginger Pear Salad
Apple Walnut Salad
Mexican Chicken Wrap
Hummus Veggie Wrap
Raw and Gluten Free Vegetarian Sushi Wrap
