OwowCow Makes HuffPo's Top 10

OwowCow Creamery is included in Huffington Post's recent list of America's top 10 ice cream shops.

A local ice cream shop is in the national spotlight.

Huffington Post recently included OwowCow Creamery in its list of America’s Top 10 ice cream shops.

OwowCow, which serves handmade ice cream comprised of local ingredients, is located in Carousel Village off Route 413. It opened in Wrightstown in 2011. It is owned by John Fezzuoglio, who opened an Ottsville location in 2009 after deciding he needed a change from his career as a graphic designer in Manhattan.

Fezzuoglio makes his product literally from scratch and with all-natural ingredients. That means no factory-produced ice cream bases with chemicals and preservatives. No high-fructose corn syrup, artificial colors, sweeteners, or flavors. Just organic cream from Way-Har Farm, locally-produced free-range eggs, organic sugar and other all-natural ingredients.

The shop is known for its unique flavors, like chocolate jalapeno, lemon ginger, honey lavender, chai cream, sweet potato wasabi and cannoli cream, among others.
