Phillies Tickets Among Most Expensive in the Country, Report Says

At a cost of $37 on average per ticket, the Phillies are among the five most expensive professional baseball teams to see live, according to a story on Philly.com.

The only teams that will put more of a dent in your wallet to see are the Boston Red Sox ($52 on average), the New York Yankees ($51 on average) and the Chicago Cubs ($46 on average).  The Phillies are fourth, with the Washington Nationals following them at $35 per ticket on average.

Nationwide, professional baseball ticket prices average $27, according to Team Marketing Report

That’s still significantly lower than the price of an average NBA ticket ($52), or a ticket to an NFL game, which costs about $61. If you go to see the Phillies play, you’ll still be spending much less than the cost of the average Sunday NFL football game, which costs about $81 to attend,  according to Team Marketing Report.
