The Thai Restaurant, located on Eagle Road near the Newtown Farmer's Market, stopped serving Jan. 1.

Siam Cuisine, a Thai restaurant in Newtown Township, has closed its doors.

According to a sign posted on the door, the restaurant's last day was Jan. 1.

The sign reads:

"We have decided to close the doors to Siam Cuisine in Newtown on 1/1/2012. We have had a wonderful time sharing our food and culture with you and we thank you for your loyal patronage over the last 20 years."

The sign goes on to say that Siam Cuisine will continue to serve at its Buckingham location, 4950 York Road (Route 202).

According to Siam's website, the same owners also operate a location on Arch Street in Philadelphia.

This is a bummer. I guess the gym is going to knock out the wall and take over the space?

We'll miss Siam, always good food and service. Fortunately we can still get our Thai food fix in Buckingham.
