Supervisors To Consider Variances For Cafe
The Corner Bakery Cafe, which received conditional use approval from the Newtown Township Supervisors in October, is seeking variances for signage and impervious surface requirements.
The Newtown Township Board of Supervisors will consider a variance request from the Corner Bakery Café at its regular meeting Wednesday. The Corner Bakery Café is a casual dining spot that is opening at the old Blockbuster Video on West Road.

During the meeting in October, Don Marshall, the lawyer for the applicant, said the 5,000-square-foot café is similar to a Panera restaurant in that it offers fast, healthy options like soups, salads and sandwiches. The Newtown location is slated to have 119 seats.
The Corner Bakery Café currently has locations in King of Prussia, Philadelphia, Horsham and Ardmore, among others. There are franchises in several states, including New Jersey, Virginia, California, Maryland, Texas and more.

The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu includes a range of salads, sandwiches, soups, kids selections, pastas and bakery items.
