Zoës Kitchen Prepares to Open, Now Hiring Employees

Zoës Kitchen is expected to open sometime in May next to Jules Thin Crust in the Goodnoe Corner Shopping Center.

Zoës Kitchen, a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant chain that is opening next month on Sycamore Street, is now hiring.

A large banner posted recently on the outside of the building, which is currently being renovated to accomodate the eatery, says "Now Hiring."

The eatery, which serves Mediterranean dishes with a Southern twist, will be located in the Goodnoe Corner Shopping Center next to Jules Thin Crust.

Zoës Kitchen representative Brian Waghalter told the Newtown Township Board of Supervisors earlier this year that the restaurant is expected to open sometime in May.

He said Zoës is a "fast casual concept" that is family-oriented and affordable with an average menu item price of less than $10.

Waghalter said everything served at Zoës Kitchen is made in-house. The chain began in Alabama and now has 83 locations.

According to its website, Zoës Kitchen serves "Mediterranean-inspired comfort food" that keeps customers' dietary concerns in mind. There's nothing fried and gluten-free and vegetarian options are plentiful, according to the website.

The menu features soups, salads, hummus, pitas, sandwiches, dinner entrees, a kids menu and more.

This will be the first Zoës Kitchen location in Pennsylvania. Other locations are presently operating in 12 states, including Virginia, Texas, Flordia and Arizona.
