Zoes Kitchen Coming to Goodnoe's Corner

The Mediterranean-inspired restaurant will move into the space formerly occupied by Cosi.

Zoes Kitchen, a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant chain, is coming to Newtown.

The restaurant will be setting up shop at Goodnoe's Corner in the space formerly occupied by Cosi, Peter Maggio told Patch Monday. Maggio is director of leasing and development for US Realty Associates, which manages Goodnoe's Corner.

According to its website, Zoes Kitchen serves "Mediterranean-inspired comfort food" that keeps customers' dietary concerns in mind. There's nothing fried and gluten-free and vegetarian options are plentiful, according to the website.

The menu features soups, salads, hummus, pitas, sandwiches, dinner entrees, a kids menu and more.

"Losing Cosi was a disappointment, however we viewed their vacancy as an opportunity to secure a restaurant whose fresh, health-conscious menu would be an even better fit for both Goodnoe's Corner and for Newtown," Maggio said. "Jules Thin Crust raised the bar with a healthy, organic alternative to pizza and we thought it only fitting to locate a concept like Zoe's Kitchen next door to them."
