First Federal of Bucks County delivered a generous gift of over $86,000 to the United Way Bucks County which is dedicated to working with a broad range of people and organizations to identify and resolve pressing community issues.
The contribution was raised in part by our team members and Board of Directors through an annual campaign. This year’s campaign rose over $43,000 in donations which is an $8,700 increase over the FFBC campaign from 2012. First Federal then matches the contribution on a dollar-for-dollar basis.
Jeane M. Coyle, First Federal’s President/CEO, along with William L. Larkin, First Federal of Bucks County Board of Director Chairman and the First Federal of Bucks County Employee Campaign Coordinators, Jessica Sweeney, Kirsten Palmieri and Antoinette Gellentien presented the check to Jamie Haddon, United Way Bucks County President/CEO and Jeannie Foy, Director of Resource Development, at the banks Administrative and Loan Center in Yardley, PA.
First Federal is a strong supporter of the United Way. Every year, First Federal also participates in a Day of Caring. In the past, team members volunteered their time on a Federal holiday when the bank is closed to paint the offices of Good Friends, Inc. in Morrisville, PA.Jeane Coyle stated: “We’re pleased to be able to offer this much needed support to the United Way Bucks County. This donation was made possible by the caring and dedicated Team Members and our Board here at First Federal. I am proud of our ability to share our financial well being with those less fortunate than us. In today’s economic environment the work that the United Way Bucks County is doing is more critical than ever.”
