2 a.m. Manhunt Game Prompts Police Response

Newtown Police said they were dispatched to Delaware Court at approximately 2:15 a.m. Friday after a resident called to report a man outside her window.

A game of manhunt in the wee hours of the morning startled a Delaware Court resident early this morning, according to Newtown Township Police.

Police said they were dispatched to Delaware Court at approximately 2:15 a.m. Friday after a resident called to report that she had just seen a tall, thin white man walk by her front window.

The responding officer said he saw two men running on Franklin Court. One of them went into a home on that street. The officer knocked on the door of the house and found several teens. They told police they had just been playing a game of manhunt.

The teens and the adult homeowner apologized for disturbing the neighbors and agreed that the teens would remain inside, police said.
