2011 Farmers' Market Season Ending Saturday

To mark the end of the season, it will be Vendor and Customer Appreciation Day at the market. There will be free coffee and locally-produced refreshments.

 

The final day of the 2011 Wrightstown Farmers’ Market is this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

To mark the end of the season, it will be Vendor and Customer Appreciation Day at the market. There will be free coffee, cider, cider donuts, soup and homemade pumpkin cookies and bread. All of the treats will be made with ingredients from Bucks County farms.

Expect to find the following veggies at the market this weekend: winter squash, pumpkins, broccoli, cauliflower, kale, garlic, cabbage, leeks, onions, radishes, sweet and hot peppers, eggplant, herbs, potatoes and more.   

There will also be apples, meats, eggs, cheeses, yogurt, butter, breads, baked goods, organic, fair-trade locally roasted coffees, honey, maple syrup, organic nut butters, handmade soaps, woolen goods, candles, jewelry, pottery and greeting cards.

The Goose Creek Pioneers will be performing music.

The market will open for the 2012 on May 5.

Until then, you can pick up locally-produced food at one of the winter mini-markets. You can pick up pre-ordered goods from 10 to 11 a.m. on the second Saturday of each month from December through April.

The first winter mini-market is Dec. 10.  There will also be mini-markets on Jan. 14, Feb. 11, March 10 and April 14.
