Essential information about the day ahead in Newtown

1. The TRACES bus-eum, a traveling exhibit about prisoners of war during WWII, will be at today. The bus is a mobile museum with a 21-seat theater. It's open to the public from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

2. The grand opening of the Council Rock School District Art Show is tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. at . The show will also be open Friday night from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and all-day Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

3. The Council Rock School Board of directors will meet tonight for a regular meeting. The meeting, to be held at the Chancellor Center, begins at 7:30 p.m. The agenda includes consideration of a preliminary budget for 2011-2012. To view the full agenda, click here.

4. Pickering Manor is hosting a free seminar about long-term care insurance today at 2 p.m. The seminar is being presented by specialists from the Independence Planning Group. It will cover topics such as the cost and benefits of long term care insurance. 

5. The 46th Annual Student Exhibition at Bucks County Community College continues today from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
