Essential information about the day ahead in Newtown

1. The Council Rock Education Foundation will hold its "What's it Worth?" fundraiser tonight from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Southampton Summer Day Camp. Renowned appraiser, antiques expert, columnist, and television host Lori Verderame will be there to provide values for your collectables. Tickets are $40, which includes admission and one item to be evaluated.

2. The Council Rock School Board will meet tonight at the Chancellor Center starting at 7:30 p.m. To view the agenda, click here.

3. There will be a free “Medicare Made Easy” seminar tonight at the starting at 7 p.m. The 60-minute seminar will go over important Medicare-realted topics. A question and answer period will follow. To register for an upcoming seminar, call 267-923-5281.

4. Newtown Parks and Recreation is holding another class in its series of "Do it Yourself Floral Design" tonight at 6:30 p.m. at Green Orchid Design Studio, 17 Cambridge Ln. 5. Singer songwriter Jim Rowland will play live at tonight starting at 7:30 p.m. There's no cover.
