1.     Newtown Township Parks and Recreation will hold a Chinese Cooking Class tonight at Council Rock High School North from 6 to 8 p.m. Learn how to make Shanghai rolls, beef with snow peas and mushrooms, and fried rice. Call ahead to reserve a spot or visit www.newtownfun.com to register. The fee is $15 for residents; $19 for nonresidents.

2.     It’s your last chance to see the Newtown Arts Company perform “George Washington Slept Here.” Tonight will be the last performance of the show. 4.     The John Sheridan Jazz Ensemble will play live tonight at the Temperance House starting at 7:30 p.m. There is no cover.

5.     A six-week “Unearthing” class begins tonight at 7 p.m. at Solutions for Daily Living. According to organizers, the series is an intensive spiritual excavation that will illuminate the unconscious belief threads that impact your daily life.
