1. It looks like it will be another nice day today, with sunny skies and temperatures in the 80s.

2. Today is the last day of spring. The summer solstice is Tuesday, June 21.

3. Are the kids already getting bored less than a week into summer vacation? Newtown Township Parks and Recreation is holding a cake baking and decorating class for kids ages 8 through 13 starting today and going through the week. The class will be held from 9:30 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday at Holland Middle School. The fee is $150 for residents, $188 for nonresidents. For more information, visit www.newtownfun.com.

4. Newtown Township's Planning Commission as well as its Board of Supervisors meet this week. The Planning Commission meets Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m. and the Board of Supervisors meet Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
