5 Things You Need to Know Today: May 4

Essential information about the day ahead in Newtown.

1. The Newtown Borough Council has a work session tonight at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers, 23 N State St. The agenda includes discussion of special event fees, as well as an update on residential parking permits. Click here to view the full agenda.

2. 's Percussion Ensemble will perform classical and jazz selections under the direction of Mark Pultorak tonight starting at 7:30 p.m. The concert will be held in the Presser Room.

3. There's a Kindergarten Brunch at 11:45 a.m. today at the Wrightstown Village Library. Morning and afternoon kindergarten students from Wrightstown Elementary School are invited to bring a bag lunch and hang out with their future first-grade classmates.

4. students in the beginning ensembles program will perform tonight at the school starting at 7:30 p.m.
