5 Things You Need to Know Today: November 1

Essential information about the day ahead in Newtown.

1. It's the first day of November and already there's snow on the ground.

2. Hopefully some more of that snow will melt today, though. Forecasters are calling for partly sunny skies and temperatures in the mid 50s.

3. Bucks County Community College has a new exhibit at the Hicks Art Center Gallery. The Biennial Arts Faculty Exhibition opened Monday and runs through Dec. 13. The exhibit features more than 50 works by 27 Bucks County Community College faculty members. The gallery will be open today from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is free.

4. Prudential Fox & Roach Realtors in Newtown in in the midst of its Thanksgiving food drive, which will continue through Nov. 21. Click here for more information about what is needed and where to drop it off.
