5 Things You Need to Know Weekend Edition: July 30 and 31

Essential information about the weekend ahead in Newtown.

1. It'll be hot but beautiful this weekend. Forecasters say there is zero percent chance of precipitation both Saturday and Sunday. Temperatures are expected to be in the low 90s. So get outside and do something fun! (But don't forget the water bottle.)

2. The Wrightstown Farmers' Market is open today (Saturday) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The market is located on Second Street Pike, next to the Wrightstown Township Municipal Building.

3. Philabundance will hold a drop off for its "Share the Harvest" program today (Saturday) from 10 a.m. to noon at Carousel Gardens on Durham Road. Share the Harvest encourages home gardeners to grow extra vegetables or collect any surplus vegetables from their harvest and donate to Philabundance to fight hunger in the Delaware Valley.

4. If you haven't had a chance to catch it, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" is playing at the Newtown Theatre. There are five shows this weekend. On Saturday, there are showtimes at 3, 5:30 and 8 p.m. On Sunday, there are showtimes at 3 and 5:30 p.m. For more information, visit www.newtowntheatre.com.

5. It's the end of "End Days" Saturday at Spring Garden Mill at Tyler Park.  The Langhorne Players are presenting the play, which is a comedy by Deborah Zoe Laufer that explores the struggles of a family who fled the city for the safety of the suburbs after 9/11.
