5 Things You Need to Know Weekend Edition: Nov. 5 & 6

Essential information about the weekend ahead in Newtown.

1. It should be pretty nice fall weather this weekend with temperatures in the mid 50s and partly sunny skies.

2. The Tyler Park Center for the Arts will hold an today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Artists Gathering will be a venue for artists discuss their paintings/drawings and suggest ways to take them further in composition, meaning, material and techniques. 3. The Village Library of Wrightstown will hold its biannual book sale this weekend. The hours are 9 to 5 p.m. today and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.

4. The Sixth Annual Friends of St. Mark Concert will be held tonight at 7 p.m. at . It will feature the Princeton Seminary Touring Choir, Macedonia Baptist, Newtown Presbyterian, St. Andrews and the Voices of St. Mark. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the show. Contributions will be used to refurbish brickwork at the church. Call 215-579-9295 for more information.

5. will host its first annual Gift and Craft Show on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is open to the public. There will be more than 30 vendors selling jewelry, art and various novelties.
