Bagel Junction Owner in "Total Shock"

The Bucks County Sheriff's Department on Thursday seized cash and property from the Bagel Junction bakery because of more than $87,000 in debt and interest due to their landlord, Centro Watt.

Bagel Junction owner Steven Seidner said he's in "total shock" after the Bucks County Sheriff’s Department on Thursday seized cash and property from the bakery because of more than $87,000 in debt and interest due to their landlord, Centro Properties Group.

Seidner said the Bagel Junction was negotiating in good faith with Centro and thought it had until April 21 to come together on a restructured lease agreement.

Lisa Rutenberg, an attorney representing Centro, said she had no comment.

"We love Newtown and have been here 20 years and would love to stay in our present location. This is not final, we are still talking," Seidner said.

Jenny McClure, assistant to Bucks County Sheriff Edward J. Donnelly, said the Sheriff's Department seized approximately $460 in addition to the property, which includes furniture, toasters, coffee makers, and other kitchen items.
