'Columbiana' Tops Redbox Area Rentals

Here's a look at the top movies being rented at area Redboxes.

Looking to rent a movie this weekend? Here are the five most-rented movies in our area, according to Redbox.

Colombiana (PG-13): Here’s a feel-good movie premise, direct from the movie description – “Cataleya is a young woman who has grown up to be an assassin after witnessing the murder of her parents as a child.” Enjoy.

Midnight in Paris (PG-13): So here’s the storyline – a family moves to Paris for business and their lives are transformed. Really? That’s it? If Woody Allen weren’t the director and names like Owen Wilson, Rachel MacAdams and Kathy Bates weren’t attached to this one, it probably would have been a direct-to-DVD release.

The Help (PG-13): This will probably be labeled a Chick Flick, though it mixes in class and race relations at the dawn of the civil rights movement. The center of the story line is the hired help (African Americans, of course), are the source for a tell-all book about their wealthy (white) employers. But the real story is in the lives of the women involved. See, Chick Flick.

Friends With Benefits (R): Two friends (Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis) add sex to their friendship and, in a stunning plot twist (NOT!), things get complicated.

Crazy Stupid Love (PG-13): Divorced guy has a mid-life crisis and gets in touch with his feelings. Yeah, Chick Flick.
