Egg Hunts, Easter Bunny Sightings Start Saturday

Looking for the Easter Bunny? He'll be in the area starting Saturday

 

Easter is just around the corner and if you’re looking to take the kids out to celebrate and meet the Easter Bunny, here are a few options:

  • Newtown Business Association is holding its annual Easter Egg Hunt this Saturday at 9 a.m. sharp. The hunt will be held at Pickering Manor Field, 226 North Lincoln Ave. Children of all ages are welcomed to attend this free event. The Easter Bunny will be there and children will have the chance to search for candy-filled eggs as well as other prizes. No advance registration is necessary but organizers recommend families arrive by 8:45 a.m. to prepare for the festivities.
  •  is hosting four days of Easter fun starting this Saturday. The shopping village, which features stores, a nursery and an artisan creamery, is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt this Saturday and Sunday as well as April 6 and April 7. Egg hunt times are 11 a.m., 1 p.m. or 3 p.m. Children who attend can participate in the egg hunt, take a train ride and meet the Easter Bunny. The cost is $7 per child. Children should bring their own basket to collect eggs. To make a reservation, call 215-598-0707. 
  • Starting this weekend, the New Hope & Ivyland Railroad, located in New Hope, will be offering the Easter Bunny Express ride. The bunny himself will be on board for the 45-minute ride. Children will have the chance to get pictures with the Easter Bunny and enjoy treats. The ride will be offered this Saturday and Sunday, as well as on April 6, 7 and 8.   • Shady Brook Farm is hosting an Egg-Stravaganza this Sunday as well as April 6 and 7 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will feature an egg hunt, hayrides and the Easter Bunny.  The cost is $8 per child. (Bring a nonperishable food item to receive $1 off admission). Click here for more details.
  • Oxford Valley Mall is also hosting the Easter Bunny. Children can visit with him and get photos today through Thursday until 8:30 p.m. Starting Friday through April 7, he’ll be there until 9 p.m.
