First Night organizers are planning a fundraiser this Friday from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. at The Temperance House.
The cost to attend is $20, which includes food and entertainment. The entertainment will be acts from this year's First Night Newtown -- the annual New Year's Eve celebration. There will be wine and samples of beer from Newtown's own Cobblestone Brewing Company.
The theme for this year is "D.A.R.E. to Share."
"We will be working once again with the local D.A.R.E. program in our schools sponsored by the Newtown Township police and will also be collecting food for families in need," explained First Night organizer Paul Salvatore.
