We know you need a break from the shopping frenzy and figure a movie might do the trick. If you don’t want to be bothered with picking one out, consider this list of the top five most-rented movies in our area, courtesy of Red Box.

Friends With Benefits (R): Two friends (Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis) add sex to their friendship and, in a stunning plot twist (NOT!), things get complicated.

The Smurfs 2011 (PG): The Smurfs end up in The Big Apple – the details don’t really matter, do they? But how did a movie about the diminutive blue creatures end up NOT being rated G?

Crazy Stupid Love (PG-13): Guys finds out his wife wants a divorce. Guy’s friend helps him re-enter the dating scene. Guy finds out he can’t change his true self. Yep, date night movie.

Super 8 (PG-13): Rather than try to explain this complex thriller, here’s the official summary - In the summer of 1979, a group of friends in a small Ohio town witness a catastrophic train crash while making a super 8 movie and soon suspect that it was not an accident. Shortly after, unusual disappearances and inexplicable events begin to take place in town, and the local Deputy tries to uncover the truth - something more terrifying than any of them could have imagined.

30 Minutes or Less (R): Two wannabe criminals kidnap a pizza delivery guy and force him to rob a bank. Add in some nudity, a flamethrower and hired assassins and you’ve got a movie … apparently.
